The multilingual actress also appears in the Hindi language films for her terrific acting performance she got three times Filmfare Award nomination. Shruti Haasan was born on January 28, 1986, in Chennai, India to Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. She was born in a well-known film-loving family, Hasan family. Both of her parents are media celebrity actor and actress. Shruti’s has a younger sister Akshara who is a dancer. She studied at Abacus Montessori School. Shruti moved to Mumbai from Chennai to enroll at St. Andrew’s College where her major was Psychology. She was affectionate about music and eventually went to the United State to study music at Musicians Institute in California.

Shruti Haasan started her career with playback in her father movie when she was only six years old. Before appearing as a mature artist in the media industry, she used to sing and act as a child artist in the cinema. In 2009, she made her complete debut in the Indian film industry with the film ‘Luck’. Following two years, she acted in the blockbuster movie ‘Walt Disney’ in 2011. In the same year, she made Tamil debut with the movie ‘7aum Arivu’.

By acting in several successful films Gabbar Singh, Balupu, Yevadu and Srimanthudu, she has established herself as a leading actress in South Indian film industry.
